A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §9A-1-16, relating to
the Division of Veterans Affairs.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §9A-1-16, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 1. DIVISION OF VETERANS' AFFAIRS.
§9A-1-16. Name changed to Department of Veterans Assistance.
Effective the first day of July, two-thousand eight, the
organization formerly known as the Division of Veterans Affairs, as
set forth in section one, article one, chapter nine-a of this code,
shall become the Department of Veterans Assistance.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to change the name of the
Division of Veterans Affairs to the Department of Veterans
Assistance.
